Origin of the products
Where do Himalaya Vibes products come from?
Our products mainly come from Tibet, Nepal, and India – selected during local trips and purchased directly from small workshops, family businesses, and traditional manufacturers. You can learn more about our story on our About Us page.
Are the products handmade and fair trade?
A large part of our range – from incense sticks and scarves to leather goods – is handcrafted. It is important to us that the manufacturers receive fair conditions and appropriate prices. We also support our own passion project for Tibetan nuns in Tso Pema.
How is quality ensured?
We personally check new products and suppliers, often on-site in our shop in Bern or directly at the manufacturers, to ensure that the materials, workmanship, and origin meet our standards.
Leather care
How do I properly care for a leather notebook?
Only clean leather with a slightly damp, soft cloth and let it air dry afterward – never directly on a heater. For additional protection, you can occasionally work in a small amount of colorless leather grease or oil.
Can leather get wet?
Brief contact with a little moisture is usually not a problem, but it should be avoided. If your leather notebook does get wet, dab it dry carefully and let it dry slowly at room temperature.
What is the best way to store leather products?
Store leather in a dry, well-ventilated place protected from direct sunlight – without a plastic cover. With good care, our hand-bound leather notebooks will even develop a beautiful, natural patina over time.
