Tibetan Cymbals – Buy Tingsha | Himalaya Vibes Bern

Tashi Delek and a warm welcome! I'm Kunsang, and Tingsha cymbals have been with me since my childhood in Tibet. Their clear sound was used during prayers, meditations, and ceremonies to focus the mind and create a moment of stillness. Even today, I rejoice every time someone in our shop strikes the first note of a cymbal and for a moment, everything else fades into the background. Kunsang Choedon Stauffer, Himalaya Vibes Bern

“Sometimes someone comes into the shop, hears the sound of a cymbal – and just pauses. No words, no thoughts. Just that one sound. That's the moment I chose these cymbals for.”
– Kunsang

Tibetan Tingsha Cymbals – Sound from the Himalayas

Tingsha cymbals have been part of Tibet's Buddhist tradition for centuries. They mark the beginning and end of a meditation, accompany prayers, and help bring the mind back to the here and now. At Himalaya Vibes in Bern, you'll find carefully selected cymbals in various sizes and with traditional motifs – from simple, polished models to the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, and even Tibetan dragons and the eight auspicious symbols (Tashi Tagye).

As a rule of thumb: the larger the cymbal, the deeper and longer its sound resonates. If you're unsure which one suits you best, feel free to visit our shop at Kramgasse 63 in Bern. I'll play the different cymbals for you – because the right sound is best chosen with your ears.
