"Chenrezig stands for compassion in its purest form – many carry him with them or hang him in their car as a quiet companion in daily life."

Chenrezig Pendant

The double-sided Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara) pendant is a traditional Tibetan protective amulet, handcrafted in India. Both sides depict Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of infinite compassion, ensuring his protective and healing energy is visible from every angle.

Design and Symbolism

  • Chenrezig in four-armed form, seated on a lotus throne, surrounded by a green, yellow, and blue nimbus
  • Round metal setting with a gold finish, protected by domed, transparent glass
  • Red cord loop at the top, adjustable in size, adorned with silver and gold beads and a metallic cylinder
  • Long, vibrant red silk tassel at the bottom – for fluid movement and protective energy

Spiritual Significance

Chenrezig is the Bodhisattva of compassion and the patron deity of Tibet. The amulet is traditionally used to bring luck and protection, overcome obstacles, and provide blessings while traveling – popular as a rearview mirror hanger. Tibetan amulets often contain rolled-up mantras inside; the well-known "Om Mani Padme Hung" embodies the compassionate power of all Buddhas.
