"The snowflake and star patterns in dark green look so wintry – the perfect sweater for cold days."

"Loru" Hand-knitted Nepal Sweater

The "Loru" combines classic Fair Isle patterns with authentic Nepalese craftsmanship. Each sweater is hand-knitted stitch by stitch in Panauti, Banepa, and Shakhu – authentic, warm, and full of characterful knitting tradition.

The model in the product photos is 170 cm tall and wears the sweater in size XXL for a relaxed oversized look – the fit is normal to loose, and the pure wool naturally adapts.

Material & Warmth

The "Loru" is made from pure Nepalese sheep wool. It provides reliable winter warmth, a pleasant body climate, a robust, durable structure, and natural breathability. Perfect for cold days, outdoor moments, and cozy hours indoors.

Design & Pattern

The sweater features classic Fair Isle stripes in dark green/olive, cream/off-white, and grey. Star, snowflake, and diamond shapes create a Nordic-wintry look. Since each piece is freely hand-knitted, every "Loru" is a true one-of-a-kind.

Cut & Feel

  • Casual, slightly voluminous fit
  • High crew neck / mock neck
  • Firm dark green ribbed cuffs on sleeves and hem
  • Can be worn cropped (hem tucked in) or oversized

Fair & Social

With every purchase, you support Nepalese women's cooperatives, fair wages, and secure jobs, as well as the passing on of traditional knitting techniques. Warm, handmade, and with a traditional pattern – the "Loru" is a sweater for life.
