"The strong blue cuffs add a beautiful accent to the otherwise calm pattern – a true classic."
"Namlo" Hand-knitted Nepal Sweater
The "Namlo" is a unique, hand-knitted wool sweater, crafted in the mountain regions of Nepal. It combines classic Fair Isle and Jacquard patterns with the warm, authentic knitting culture of Nepalese artisans. This piece is one of a kind – each sweater is a true unique item.
The model in the product photos is 185 cm tall and wears the sweater in size XL – the fit is normal to loose, ideal for warm layered looks, with natural stretch from pure wool.
Material & Warmth
The "Namlo" is made from pure, robust sheep's wool from Nepal. It offers pleasant, natural warmth, high breathability, a robust, durable structure, and a perfect body climate in cold temperatures. Ideal for winter days, travel, outdoor moments, or cozy hours at home.
Design & Pattern
The sweater features intricate Fair Isle elements in harmonious blue, grey, and natural white tones: geometric Jacquard motifs, fine horizontal pattern lines, and a dense, warm knitted structure, complemented by contrasting cuffs in strong blue. A timeless look that appears both classic and modern.
Handmade
- Knitted in Panauti, Banepa & Shakhu
- Pure handwork – stitch by stitch
- Small pattern variations are part of it: every "Namlo" is unique
Fair & Social
With every purchase, you support Nepalese women's cooperatives, fairly paid knitters, the preservation of traditional wool and knitting techniques, and sustainable, responsible production. The "Namlo" is more than a sweater – it is a piece of culture, warmth, and true craftsmanship.
It's best to see it for yourself – or come by Kramgasse 63, then you can try on the sweater directly in the shop.
