"This bracelet is definitely one that makes people look twice in the shop - the cobra is so clearly recognizable, yet it looks surprisingly elegant on the arm, not threatening. Almost like a small guardian you carry with you."
Cobra Bracelet made of Brass
This open bracelet is made of brass and features a stylized cobra with an upright hood – the head is plastically shaped and adorned with a delicate herringbone pattern that replicates the snake's characteristic hood marking. The slender body coils around the arm and ends in a small, rolled-up loop, giving the bracelet its typical curved shape.
With an inner diameter of approx. 9 cm, it is very malleable and can be easily adjusted to different wrist sizes. Weighing 32 grams, it feels noticeable but not heavy on the arm. At Himalaya Vibes, you can find it in two versions:
- Brass, silver-plated – cool and striking
- Brass, gold-plated – warm and radiant
Meaning & Tradition
In the Himalayan region and Indian culture, the cobra has a long, multifaceted meaning – it is widely regarded as a symbol of protection, vigilance, and hidden power. In iconography, it is often depicted as a guardian figure that watches over something valuable without appearing aggressive.
For me, this bracelet is therefore less a sign of danger, but rather a small guardian on one's own arm – a symbol of vigilance towards oneself, of quiet observation before acting.
Details & Manufacturing
- Material: Brass
- Surface: silver-plated or gold-plated
- Motif: stylized cobra with structured hood
- Inner diameter: approx. 9 cm, very malleable
- Weight: approx. 32 g
- Manufacturing: handmade
Care & Application
Since it's made of brass, I always take off the bracelet when showering, bathing, or applying lotion to ensure the surface – whether silver or gold-plated – remains beautiful for a long time. To adjust, bend the bracelet slowly and carefully, not abruptly, so that the metal doesn't strain.
Take a look at both variations yourself – or come to Kramgasse 63, and you can try out directly how the cobra sits on your arm.
