Kunsang

“The Green Tara stands for compassion and swift help. The thangka is ready to hang.”

Green Tara Thangka Scroll

This thangka shows the Green Tara, the Tibetan goddess of compassion and swift help. She sits with green skin on a lotus throne, with an orange sun disc and a golden halo behind her against a blue sky. In her hands she holds blue peonies, and her right hand rests in the gesture of giving. Offerings can be seen at the bottom of the image.

Brocade, Silk and Fringes

The printed image is set in a golden-yellow brocade frame with fine patterns. Red silk ribbons and a yellow silk apron at the top add accents. Colourful fringes hang at the bottom, and the back is made of red cotton fabric. The red hanging cord is already attached.
