Green Tara Thangka Scroll with Brocade, 61 x 71 cm, approx. 410 g

Kunsang

“In Tibetan Buddhism, Green Tara is regarded as the liberator who comes quickly to help. The thangka is ready to hang.”

Green Tara Thangka Scroll

This thangka shows Green Tara (Drölma), the goddess of compassionate action in Tibetan Buddhism. She sits on a lotus in front of an orange halo and a golden aureole, her right hand open downwards, her left raised. Blue and pink peonies bloom around her, with clouds, a mountain peak and a water landscape with offerings along the bottom edge.

Brocade, Silk and Rods

The printed image is set in a blue-green brocade frame with golden patterns. Red silk ribbons and a yellow silk apron at the top add accents. A rod with orange ends sits at the bottom, and the back is made of red cotton fabric. The red hanging cord is already attached.
