Kunsang

“Manjushri stands for wisdom and clear thinking – a lovely gift for learners, students and anyone seeking clarity. The thangka is ready to hang.”

Manjushri Thangka Scroll

This thangka shows Manjushri, the bodhisattva of wisdom. In his raised right hand he holds the flaming sword that cuts through ignorance. At his left side blooms a lotus carrying the book of wisdom. He sits on a lotus seat in front of a blue halo, surrounded by clouds, mountains and a water landscape along the bottom edge.

Brocade, Silk and Rods

The printed image is set in a brocade frame with a yellow-orange ground and green-blue patterns. Red silk ribbons and a yellow silk apron at the top add accents. A rod with orange ends sits at the bottom, and the back is made of red cotton fabric. The red hanging cord is already attached.
