Kunsang

“Manjushri stands for wisdom and clear thinking. The thangka is ready to hang.”

Manjushri Thangka Scroll

This thangka shows Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of wisdom. He sits with golden skin on a lotus throne, in front of a blue halo and a golden aureole. In his raised right hand he holds the flaming sword that cuts through ignorance. In his left hand he holds the stem of a lotus blossom on which the book of wisdom rests. At the bottom, a monk, water and offerings can be seen.

Brocade, Silk and Fringes

The printed image is set in a golden-yellow brocade frame with green and blue patterns. Red silk ribbons and a yellow silk apron at the top add accents. Colourful fringes hang at the bottom, and the back is made of red cotton fabric. The red hanging cord is already attached.
