Manjushri Thangka Scroll with Brocade and Rod, 73 x 95 cm, approx. 630 g

Kunsang

“Manjushri stands for wisdom and clear thinking – a lovely gift for learners, students and everyone seeking clarity. This thangka is large and ready to hang.”

Manjushri Thangka Scroll

This thangka shows Manjushri, the bodhisattva of wisdom. In his raised right hand he holds the flaming sword that cuts through ignorance. At his left side blooms a lotus flower carrying the book of wisdom. He sits on a lotus seat in front of a blue halo, surrounded by clouds, mountains and peonies. At the bottom edge a stream with two fish flows by, along with a small figure and a jewel.

Brocade, Silk and Rod

The printed picture is set in a brocade frame with a yellow-orange ground and green-blue patterns. Red silk ribbons and a yellow silk apron at the top add accents. At the bottom, a rod with amber-coloured ends keeps the thangka hanging straight. The back is made of red cotton. The red hanging cord is already attached.
