"I often wear this upper arm bracelet directly on my upper arm without having to think much about how it fits – you just bend it open or closed a little, and it fits perfectly. The two elephant heads almost look at each other as if they were telling each other something."

Tibetan Upper Arm Bracelet with Elephant Heads made of Brass

This open upper arm bracelet is made of brass and weighs around 60 grams – a pleasant, noticeable weight on the upper arm without appearing uncomfortably heavy. The inner diameter is approx. 8 cm and is flexibly adjustable thanks to its open design: you carefully bend the bracelet open or closed a little so that it sits comfortably on your upper arm.

The two ends terminate in finely crafted elephant heads with trunks curved upwards, while the rest of the bracelet is adorned with floral ornaments and a ribbed pattern. At Himalaya Vibes, you'll find it in two variations:

  • Gold-coloured – warm, polished, classic
  • Silver-coloured – cool, elegant, versatile

Meaning & Tradition

In Tibetan and Indian culture, the elephant is a symbol of strength, wisdom, and stability – in many Buddhist traditions, it is one of the eight auspicious symbols (Tashi Tagye) and represents a calm, unshakeable mind. Two elephant heads facing each other at the ends of an upper arm bracelet, I like to interpret as a small image of balance – two forces that do not fight each other but keep each other in equilibrium.

For me, an upper arm bracelet like this is therefore never just jewellery, but a small daily reminder: to remain calm and steadfast, even when a lot is happening around you.

Details & Manufacturing

Care & Use

Since it is brass, I always take off the upper arm bracelet when showering, bathing, or applying lotion so that the surface – whether gold or silver-coloured – stays beautiful for a long time. When adjusting, bend the bracelet slowly and carefully, not abruptly, so that the metal does not warp.

It's best to see both variants for yourself – or come by Kramgasse 63 in Bern, and we'll show you directly on site how the upper arm bracelet sits comfortably on your upper arm.
